Kay Turner owned
and
operated a gallery in Cloudcroft for 4 years. After that she
opened a cooperative in 2006 for local artists. She now
works out of her studio at home and shows her work at Cloudcroft
Art Association's Gallery.
She works in oils, watercolor,
colored pencil and water colored pencil, Ink and acrylic paints. She was commissioned to create the
“Cloudcroft and Vicinity Map”, “Burro Street Exchange in the Snow”,
“Burro
Street Clothier” and “Organ
Mountain’s

She
studied drawing with John
Pototschnik, from Plano, Texas; oil painting with Velda Williams from
Wylie,
Texas and Bob Rohm in the Cloudcroft Art Workshops; and watercolor with
Frank
Web in the Cloudcroft Art Workshops.
She
has entered one show, the Otero
County Fair and was placed with an honorable mention in 1999.
